Staff training
Whether its one on one, small groups or large team training, we can cater for your facility and staff.
We can provide staff training for a variety of subjects such as: animal introductions, managing bachelor groups, introducing fission-fusion and choice and control systems, great ape nutrition, keeper health and safety and working with dangerous animals, individual species husbandry, creating a training program, managing ape enrichment schedules and much more.
Great Ape Consultancy is available for presentations, conferences and workshops. We can also offer remote training via Skype/Zoom or similar platforms.
Learning the ropes at Chimpanzee Eden
When in 2018 a purpose built, state of the art enclosure was designed for Twycross Zoo’s 17 chimpanzees, the great ape team were responsible for training, moving and intergrating the chimps in their new home as well as furnishing the exhibit, creating routines and operating procedures and training all other staff to work the facility.
